The "B" Family - Boise Area Family Photographer

Well, summer is over, the kids are back in school, and it's time to think about family pictures!  Many families choose to have a session done in the
fall--getting ready to send those Christmas cards out at the beginning (or end, if you are anything like me) of December.  I was impressed when this mom contacted me at the beginning of August to schedule a session...talk about great planning!  Summer really wanted to get her session done before school started and the whole family got too busy.   Here is a sneak peak:

Summer chooses not to buy the usual pictures done at the kids' schools (do I blame her?).  Instead, she had me take individuals of each of her children for her wall display.  What I appreciated about Summer is that she knows that she wants the portraits done vertically to fit in the frames and decor she already has.  Information like that helps me tailor the session to best suit the needs of the family.

Of course, we had to get a shot of just "the boys".

One of my personal favorites:

What is better than a daddy-daughter moment?

When Summer told me that "the girls" would be wearing white dresses, this is what I knew I wanted to capture:

Thanks again to Clint, Summer and the whole family!

Chase and Tamari - Married - Boise Area Wedding Photographer

I've been looking at these photos thinking that I can't really post ALL of them, but I'm having a hard time limiting myself because there are too many great ones to share!  So, bear with a long, picture-laden post from me...

I was so excited to be able to photograph this wedding day.  Chase and Tamari were married on June 30--which was a very hot, very bright day--to say the least!  Luckily we were able to find just enough shade and a rare cloud to help us out.  I had the pleasure of talking with Chase for about 30 minutes while he was waiting for Tamari to arrive.  It is really special to talk to someone right before they have the biggest moment of their lives.  Chase could not stop smiling, and his reaction when he saw Tamari for the first time was truely awesome.  I was so glad I was there to capture this moment.

Chase and Tamari have known each other since they were children.  I loved when Chase told her that he had never seen her look as beautiful as she did that day.    You can see why his jaw literally dropped when he saw her.

This next one probably got the most reaction when people saw it at the reception.  This was taken just before the wedding.

Some of my favorites of the happy couple:

I especially loved all of the little details...

The flowers...

The bride's cake...

The groom's cake... (Luckily they served it before it fell over)

The rings...

The awesome groom's ring...I've never seen anything like it!

of course, the dress...

Thank you Chase and Tamari for letting me be a part of your amazing day!  I wish both of you the best!

"B" at 6 months - Boise Area Child Photographer

Baby "B" came back for his 6 month photos last week.  With the help of several of his older siblings (and a hard working mom--of course), he gave us some great smiles.  We must have all been quite a sight trying to get him to laugh.  "B" is always happy, and some of his favorite activities include drooling and having his diaper off.  It's hard not to smile when this little guy is around!
